Ah. You may have issues with the 2920 reading NTAG203. The one I have here simply does not like NTAG chips and will only function with mifare cards/fobs.
I found it's key storage design to be ridiculous, every time you enter programming mode it dumps its memory and you have to enter each key again.
You can prove to yourself that it uses UID by programming the cards into the door lock, then re-writing what's on one of the cards - it should still work with the lock fine regardless of what you've personally got stored on it.
Now for the kicker, as I figured out (I still stare at the 2920 sitting half in and half out of it's box in the dunce corner of the lounge room) the 2920 doesn't like the NFC Ring.
This would be due to it's refusal to work with NTAG203, the NFC chip which the NFC Ring is based on.

@Jason I've not seen one but it'd be a cool idea to hack a standard keypad style electronic one for NFC. I've got one here, I just haven't got around to hacking on it yet.

Samsung SHS-3320 is very good lock with NFC System .

This is very unique Home made Digital Door Lock.

Oh ok, that's cool @Plugs. There's hope yet then.. are you able to read one of the iclass cards into your phone or something? that way you'll know what's stored on it, how large it is and thus whether it'll fit on a ring.

And it looks like this lock is now not available until April... Too bad cause I was really hoping to check it out. I just can't bring myself to put the Samsung one on the front of my house (it doesn't get the wife's approval).

@Tariq I'd love to help you out with testing that door lock - if you private message me your address I could organise to send you a QA fail 2013 ring to try. If it works with one of those, then the cool new ceramic 2016 ring should be a definite.

@PeterQ We probably need to enforce our IP and stop them selling their Rings. I get the impression that's the only way Quicklock will begin playing with other products.

Having locks on zipper luggage is just of annoyance to yourself- other then maybe preventing it to open up by getting stuck somewhere- zippers are extremely easy to open with a normal pen and wont stop anybody if they really wanted to get into it without a trace.

I'd use this kind of lock for a outdoor shed or maybe a steel-cable bike lock :)

I didn't test the 2016 ring because it didn't exist at the time of me writing my initial test. I imagine it does work but can't say for sure :)
