@johnyma22 are the new rings compatible with the Quicklock technology ?

"The Quicklock uses ISO15693 at 13.56Mhz for the tags and reader. These are industry standard tags, but they are not the most common type of RF chip technology available. We suggest purchasing all RF/NFC accessories from TheQuicklock.com website as these tags and rings work seamlessly with our line of products."

Its the same Frequency so I'm hopeful !!!

Yeah, dude it's RFID not NFC. Same frequency, different protocol. Quicklock have boarded the wrong passenger train.

The thing is they actually say they are using NFC...... how annoying :( I emailed them, no answer yet.

lol, you're right. I re-read the website a number of times... (it actually makes even less sense to me now), but I did see that they appear to have a phone programming new "keys".
Maybe what happened is the boss told the tech guy to explain to the website guy how stuff does a thing and they did it over a long liquid lunch.

I have an email back from their support and they admit that they are not using a common type of RFID tech, maybe this is on purpose for security, but still its annoying.

                "Jason,
Currently it is not supported. Any RFiD that falls under the spec below will work though.
                FAQ page:

I received a Quicklock door lock for Christmas. It is a great product, but unfortunately it does not work with the NFC Ring. They have their own fobs, cards and rings available. So now I have a fob on my keyring for the door and a ring on my finger to unlock my phone.

I will say, the Quicklock was a very easy install for me. Drop in replacement for the lock on our garage door.

What could we do to seduce them to make an NFCring compatible version?
I have a quicklock and it's annoying that I still have to carry that fob while having this ring.

@PeterQ We probably need to enforce our IP and stop them selling their Rings. I get the impression that's the only way Quicklock will begin playing with other products.
