@johnyma22 I will keep an eye out in future for the errors in regards to #5. As for door locks can you let the community know which door locks work with the payments ring and update this thread please ?
I have a Kerv payment ring and it works in exactly the same way with NFC readers. If the door lock could read your old ring, it will be able to read the payement ring with no issues.
I was enjoying unlocking my phone with my payment ring until Google disabled the feature in Oreo, boo.
3.55 mm thick ring guys.... Our Eclipse is 2mm.. It's nearly TWICE the thickness of the Eclipse, it's completely unwearable.... -- Think Logbar for those who got one of those abominations!
Some red flags.
Tiny battery, LiPo, no info on safety of wearing a LiPo
As already mentioned, no prototype available
Flex funding set @ $50k
No product design experience.
It infringes our patents and they haven't licensed.
12mm Thick, the Alpha is 12mm so this is a chunky beast.
No antenna or BLE component in render.
This is just another smartyring / logbar...
Pretty funny though but super sad to see so many people falling for it.. Yet again..... ... .. .. Indiegogo audience are suckers for punishment ;)
At best they are 2 years from launching. There are already commercial offerings WITH $M's INVESTMENT that have 99% of this tech already in an embodiment who are still months away from launching..
@Andreas. Yes I know apple are not always first. Bill Gates was pushing tablet computers about a decade before the iPad. And I almost got on the Pebble bandwagon. The reason apple are worthy of mention is because they are exceptionally good at taking an idea and making it mainstream.
I personally dislike apple stuff, but seriously the PC industry moves very slow and some times needs a kick up the butt. If it wasn't for apple we would still have beige box towers for our computers. Apple does deliver that much needed kick up the butt.
That's interesting that the copies have dropped PVD also, I haven't been paying attention lately. I'll take a photo of the stealth bomber later-ish just to show what happens. Scratches coming through 'silver, the edges of the ring have worn all the black off and the inlays are more than a little 'matte' now.
I've got pictures on my desktop a few hundred km's away for comparison of the titanium rings before and after wear, but I can't get to them at the moment.
