I can rapport that the visa ring looks badass. No Epoxy, no inlay visible! It's all one big "unibody" design. There's no visible seam either! Crazy! 2017 will truely be amazing.

RE: KeyDuino, Arduino NFC (PN532+ATMEGA 32U4) by MrStein
Cool! Not a fan of the forum thought! But i guess that's more of an issue for me rather then you, free forum software you can grab on pages like that just isn't neat enough. Love the infinity table!
Will definitely be backing you!

RE: Your NFC Ring has 1K of Storage, how would you use it?
Yeah, definitely full contact info, getting that vcard in there was painful when you had to leave out so much details..
bitcoin addresses anyone?

RE: MasterCard (ING) and Europe (Spain): will it work?
Hello, @Domenico .
What exactly are you trying to achieve here? Could you please elaborate ?You cannot pay with the current NFCRings available. If you are talkng about the VISA Ring available at the select area of Rio, for the Olympic games, they only work with VISA, in Rio at this moment.

RE: A big problem
The short answer is no, you cannot use your phone to open the door.
The long answer is that, in theory, it should be possible (correct me if i'm wrong), however, you need access to the encrypted key on the card that prevents you from manufacture multiple cards from just one card (cloning the card). Not to mention that you would probably run into problems which requires 'card emulation mode'.

RE: iWatch - Wearable tech - power
I just have to protest here, you see- the watch thing did not come from apple, and they should not get any recognition for that- It's not even released yet.
The first watch that got this trend rolling is the crowed founded Pebble, which is using an e-ink display that does not use a ton of battery to power the screen. So reasonably, Pebble can hold a charge for much longer then it's competitors.
And then there is the other generation of watches, which has been out and about for a better of 2 or so years now, we're starting to see new generations of clocks from hardware manufactures such as Sony and Samsung (and they will be able to work with other phone OS' soon enough, they are 'working on it' ).
Apple might be able to help to push the idea to the average people, but they really wouldn't need to be involved to get the average peoples interests, it's already there- and that is what Apple is afraid of, that they are "missing the train"- they are just jumping on it and rushing out a product which people will probably buy without even considering the others.

RE: Can Unlock app be modified to lock certain apps not entire phone?
No, this is not something that is worked upon, Android doesn't really have inbuilt support for locking certain apps, it's usually a feature of skinned versions of android from the manufacturer of the device.

RE: Iphone 7 with NFC ring?
Apple has locked down the NFC capabilities of their phones towards using apple pay, there's not much we can do about that. While they announced that it will be available for developers, I am uncertain of if we will see things like unlock with nfcring will be accepted into the app store.
Here's a thread for future reference: https://forum.nfcring.com/topic/865/nfc-the-times-they-are-a-changin/2

RE: Opening Electronic Gate with NFC
Hi, First off, I moved your post into a new thread, as it wasn't related to the thread you posted in.
Secondly, How are you currently opening the gate? I've seen (movies) people use a garage door fob or using a pincode lock on the side.
I think it's safe to say that the gate installers won't get you a nfc enabled access point unless they have such a service/device readily available to them, Which means that you'll either have to find a service that does or roll your own.
If you haven't already- which should have been your first step, give them a call and see if they provide alternative ways of opening the gates.

RE: Keepass with NFC Helios
Hi, Welcome to the NFCRing forums,
could you please a bit more details about what isn't working, other then "doesn't work"?We can't help you if we do not know what errors you get, and if it is related to your ring or if it's a app problem (if that's the case, this is the wrong forum for support).
What have you tried so far, can you confirm if your ring is functional otherwise?
edit; I suspect that you' may be attempting to write a large file to a small tag.

RE: Shipping & Usability
@Astrit said in Shipping & Usability:
- Does it get shipped to Kosovo/Europe
yes, It'll be sent from the UK.
- Can i use it instead of a normal Elevator Tag and do i need extra stuff as this is the main reason why i want to use hen i have my hands full just to swipe it and open the elevator.
That's entirely up to what sort of NFC the elevator uses, and if the people maintaining the access cards will give you access with a 3rd party device (the NFCRing).
I know nothing for NFC so please let me know if i can do similar stuff.
Welcome to the world of NFC, I'm sure you'll be amazed when you realize how much you are already using NFC in your everyday life and opportunities to use it even more!

RE: Engraved rings
Engraving was a kickstarter-pledge, and was highly delayed because of the issues and hard to track these custom rings after, AFAIK it is not something they want to offer to everyone thought the store.
Every custom ring has to be manufactured and shipped individually, which is a huge pain the behind for the team to manage and deal with incase the ring cracks or the epoxy gets loose.
If you are interested in this for a special purpose (other then just having your name on it for no apparent reason other than "coolness"), I suggest contacting support@nfcring.com though email for details.
