just delete the app and reinstall it and use your email and verification code to activate it. please check exactly how you spelled both as the fields are case sensitive.
With Silent Circle it's not entirely surprising. What is surprising is the choice of a Swiss domain. The device doesn't appear to have NFC capabilities at all, I'm pretty sure they would advertise features if they were present.
