Update 45
-
Hi There,
Im in the list of people still awaiting their rings. The update mentions that you were considering allowing us to get in touch and change the rings so we get something. Id happily be up for swapping my rings to both be plain titanium with transparent inserts on both if that expedites the process of getting something...assuming that at somepoint I will still have the chance to get the Carbon Fiber i had originally ordered.

That's far from certain. The original CF delayed post said that John would give it 6 months, and that all CF orders would get a voucher for a free ring (which may not be CF, if the R&D doesn't work out).
-
I should have been slightly more specific, carbon Fiber or something (via the voucher)
-
I ordered a CF ring also, but my temp ring came last week...so I don't think changing anything will make things faster....it just happened our orders came towards the end.

@Memnoch John's update specifically mentioned this in his update. Reading between the lines there's a high QA fail on white, whereas they have 'in stock' other rings. So if you're waiting for a ring with white you might not get one for another 3-4 weeks. If you're prepared to swap for something in stock you could get a ring much sooner.

@ shama: User didn't say he ordered White, they just mentioned Carbon Fiber.

@Ether there have been updates detailing what happened with carbon fiber orders. The inlay will revert to it's standard base colour, black cf will become black, white cf will become white. If that meant both inlays were going to be the same colour then it triggered an email asking for an alternative inlay choice.
If you had a white inlay either by choice or because of the automatic change from white cf then there's a possibility that it has been delayed.
I had noticed from a few of the visual fail rings that I received that the white inlays appear different, softer and more pliable than other inlays, more susceptible to marks and damage. Those ones did actually fail on me. -
@Ether count me in as well.. @shama has a post that might interest you and @johnyma22 does as well both around this same topic.

But they did say CF - which could have been swapped to white. John also didn't specifically say 'if you're awaiting a white ring', just anyone who was still waiting. Anyway, OP was answering Johns call to find out if users would be wanting to engage in a conversation that might speed up their ring delivery. I made a post about that topic
