What will the voucher consist of?
We will issue you a voucher to the original order value of the ring from your pledge. So if you pledged £15 for a stealth bomber ring and we provided you an alternative ring, you will get a £15 voucher. Pretty cool huh? Collection folks will get the value of that ring from the collection, we value each ring from the collection at £15 so you will get a voucher of £15 per substitution.

Got my voucher today, thanks for doubling it...I'm sure this will make a lot of the NFC Ring 1 users happy.

      @lilrayman

If you or anyone else has access to a Nexus 4, can you please post the sweet spot for this also?

The sweet spot on the Nexus 4 is between the words Nexus & LG. I find that from the middle to the LG works best.

I have the same setup as you...N4 with the Ringke Fusion case. I upgraded to the Alpha ring when it was suggested it might work better with the N4. It does work with the case, no need to roll it or anything like that, but you do need to press it to the back of the case...not just touch it. It works about 90% of the time with the case on, when you learn to press it & 100% of the time without the case.

*4. Unlock don't work if screen turn off. I need press power, scroll my screen logo and after that a see NFC logo. Very long and not convenient.

NFC only works while the screen is on...that's the way it was setup on all Android phones.
If your Rooted there is an Xposed module called NFC LockScreenOff Enabler that will let NFC work when screen is off.

    • RE: In Order

The little tag was just a bonus, it is an NFC tag like what's in your ring.
As for your case, the only thing you can do is buy a thinner case...or...take your case off & shave/grind some of it off @ the sweet spot...to make it thinner.

I haven't tried my old ring yet as I'm waiting for my new ring.
It does work great with my key chain tag.

    • Shipping For New Rings

I was just wondering when the new rings will be shipped, I don't remember reading anything about it. Will Kickstarter be first or Vouchers..??

    • Ceramic vs Titanium

I know from what I've read the the new ceramic rings hold more data, but is the strength of the NFC signal the same..??
What I'm asking is, will the new ring work better on my Nexus 4 than the old ring design..??

      Got my voucher - cheers.

Some links send me to the store -- but the store doesn't have the new rings, and no mention of voucher, and doesn't recognise my login (which works fine here... I thought we moved to single sign on a while back?).

Some links send me to kickstarter - especially the http://nfcring.com/2016/ link that redirects to www.kickstarter.com , but none of the wording there implies anything about the voucher. It seems like rather mixed messages. If the (second) kickstarter fails to reach it's target are the vouchers still valid?

(PS: I still find this forum's visual style to be horribly unreadable & unintuitive)

      From the email:

The 2016 Rings wont be available until they go live on the store, but you will get an email before anyone else when this happens.

shama is right, mine is shaded out until I set up a Pin..than it becomes active...but I've never used it.
I'm also not sure if it comes with the OTA update or not, I flashed the factory image.
