Decided to sell my Yotaphone, it has some serious issues I don't even wanna discuss in a public forum and Yota wont respond to privately so I'm giving up.

Xperia series from my perspective. I've tried a lot of phones, but the Xperia series seems to have the best most consistent read at the moment. (They all use the same little square antenna, it's a good match.)
      Anyone else?

It's not about "stealing" so much, it's more about an unnecessary disclosure of my personal information.

Historically speaking each time humanity gives up some privacy(for convenience) it comes at a cost. Imho it's not worth the trade off because biometrics have too many pitfalls.

Any authentication mechanism that can't be reset or changed is a security vulnerability. -- every security researcher ever.

I recon eventually every phone will have this built in, It will just be users choice to not use the feature. I do agree with you that invasion of privacy has gone to far already !!

Not isolated to Samsung only. The most important step is to enable the Smart Lock in Trust Agents. Otherwise the Smart Lock feature will be missing.

That was it! The culprit seemed to be a rather poorly written app from our city's public transit company, that is supposed to use NFC to read transit card info, but actually never works. The keyboard issue appears to be gone with this app removed.

Thanks for the tip! I'd never have guessed it, the app wasn't active or even open as a background process.

@jasok2 yes, that's what it'll be - I'd still like to see someone hack an arduino bootloader together that made a keyduino for instance turn into a substitute reader.

We dropped the register functionality, it shouldn't be visible in the latest version! :) Don't worry about it though, we no longer require rings to be registered for any functionality!

I tested both, Mi5 is great, can't remember Mi4 but I imagine the performance w/ the 2016 rings is great.

To get complete information about working of nfc with LG G4 either you contact with LG Smart phone Experts or check Lg G4 Manual for help.

No surprise it doesn't work with Apple. They would want to sell you an iRing at three times the price, then claim that it's new groundbreaking technology invented by them, like, err, contactless charging...
