German tech site golem.de states that google has removed the NFC unlock feature from Android:

Where a google employee mentions, that the feature was removed: "SmartLock NFC feature has been deprecated for new users. If you are not existing NFC users, the option will be hidden.". Sadly no statemany why and why it was removed so quietly.

@Apollo316 I'm still waiting, too. But they should not have taken money from you yet. At the bottom of your order email, there should be a link called "Order Lookup". There you can still change billing information, etc ;)

I can imagine that the old titanium rings are hard to read on the OP3. I have a ceramic ring and even these are really tricky to read on my OP3. The NFC is really weak, sadly :/

The OnePlus 3(T) have a super strange position of the nfc chip: it's near/under the camera. I need to tap the ring against the lens to make it work (2016 ring here)

Got my OnePlus 3T some days ago and first thought that it can't detect the ring's nfc tags. The OS Does not automatically Show a notification when a vcard is prrsented. The nfc chip is on a weird Spot, too: behind the camera.

Hi, today the black inlay of my NFC Ring got loose. I wear my ring 24/7 and love it. Today it was very hot and after some hours in the sun, the glue became very soft. Has anybody else had this issue? I have never seen this with the old ring generation.
