Hi. Im trying to use nfc ring unlock spp now. Either that app or my nfc ring doesnt seem to be working properly.

With this NFC unlock app I have no idea as to how to use this. The first time I click this app I keep having verification screen. How do I get verification code? Nowere is ever explained about this on ur website. Where do I get a verification code for this app? The tutorial video on youtube explains that I need to go to the settinf but the settinf option doesnt even exist.

Another question. How can I include contact info into my phone? Ur official app doesnt do that I suppose while other apps made by other companies like Nfc tool enables this so easily.

Finally, can I give lots of info like website url, twitter address, facebook addrsss and etc at one swipe rather than one type of info that is inscripted by the last inscription of info using ur app?

Hi there, you should have received an email a little while back which had the app verification code contained within. I received mine on the 6th of January I think, so have a search through your email and possibly your junk folder. It will be from <!-- e --><a href="mailto:frodo@nfcring.com">frodo@nfcring.com</a><!-- e --> and titled 'Your NFC Ring Unlock App Access Code?'

The ring is capable of storing anything that the NTAG203 is capable of but some devices aren't equipped to read multiple NDEF entries correctly. I've encountered this when I programmed one inlay with a geotag plus vcard.

According to your other post you're not a Kickstarter backer of the NFC Ring project. So you don't have access to the NFC Ring unlock app at the time. I don't know if it will be accessible to the public.

Its a long time between today 21st Mar (when I got my ring) and 6th Jan (when I got my code), I have no idea where that email has gone

How can I get the verification code to use the "unlock" app?

As long as it is not deleted, maybe you can find it with the subject of the email: Your NFC Ring Unlock App Access Code

Yep, been there, done that. I must have deleted for "security" reasons <sigh>

Well, it can happen to anyone I guess. ;-)
If you email <!-- e --><a href="mailto:support@nfcring.com">support@nfcring.com</a><!-- e --> and ask them nicely, they should be able to sort you out.
Use the email that you registered on kickstarter with so that they don't have to search to figure out who you are, also include your kickstarter ID and state clearly that you have lost your activation code and need help with that.

Not 100% on that one, my android phone didn't love life so I haven't been able to test for a little while.

With the latest version of NFC Ring Control app, you can register your ring and obtain a code for the NFC Ring Unlock App ... or is that just the beta version?

Must be the beta version; could I enrol for that perhaps?

                            Sorted by JM via <!-- e --><a href="mailto:support@nfcring.com">support@nfcring.com</a><!-- e --> who sent a password reset thingy

No doubt he is inundated with incoming mail at the moment so it took a while

Does it take long to get the code? I've been waiting about 30 mins.

                                  Thanks,

Have you tried validating the unlock app using your registration details?

@Lokki I'm not a kickstarter backer. My ring arrived this morning. I've tried to register, but I never get any email with a code. I've registered at this forum, and an account at https://me.nfcring.com/login

I've tried logging in with those account details where it looks for my verification code, but that would transmit my password in plain text, and doesnt mask my password either.

edit: tried logging in again with account details and it worked.

Well, glad it got working for you at least.
There are looking to be changes in the way validation works in the future.
