Very surprised how well it works through an eink display... There is an obvious performance loss on some rings but it's pretty impressive non the less.

Pretty well, it's not as good as Nokia but it's usable with all rings. Obviously more usable with our latest prototypes tho =)

Awesome. I might have to check it out when they become a little more available.

I have been using the Yotaphone for a few hours now and while the sweet spot is good with the new ring it's not exceptional. The One M8 is probably easier to use with the ring as the sweet spot is in an obvious place so easier to find.

I think in a few days I will have mastered the Yotaphone though and I think our next step should be to show the sweet spot on the eink unlock screen when the user is trying to unlock :) That would be awesome..

Looking forward to hearing some details about this mysterious new prototype :)

Well this is interesting, the YotaPhone 2 front display stopped working today. 28 days after I started using the phone. I have contacted YotaPhone to see if they can replace the unit ;\

Yeah but Yota have been quick to respond too so hopefully it will get resolved ASAP!

Good to hear, I'll be interested to know how it all pans out - they're a cool looking device.

Interesting, so Yota asked me to send the phone to a repair center, which I did, I just was asked to cover $200 for a repair cost for a phone that I paid $800 for less than 28 days ago and I have only used as a review phone..

I'm going to assume Yota have made a mistake here and give them the chance to sort this out without me having a poor experience..

                          Pretty weird tho!

ohoh.. Yota's support page has stopped working and they closed my ticket (so I can no longer reply)

Seems like I just lost a bunch of money huh?

Dat pesky iframe.. They got back to me early this week and said they would get back to me about it.. Nothing by the end of play on business on Friday....

After a fair amount of back and forth Yota decided to cover the costs of the repairs so it's now back with me and it's back in my todo list.. Naturally it's a lot further down than it was before but I guess you gotta show some credit to Yota for repairing the device FOC!

Just an update for this.. I was able to get a really real time updating shopping list working on the eink screen..

                                    Pretty slick!

Decided to sell my Yotaphone, it has some serious issues I don't even wanna discuss in a public forum and Yota wont respond to privately so I'm giving up.
