I'll just point out again for anyone looking at this thread that if you send your ring back, if you got a 'special' kickstarter one, you're extremely unlikely to get the same ring style back.
Think hard before doing that!
If you got one that is styled the way the ones available for pre-order are then it obviously isn't gonna be an issue. ;-)

@Lokki my ring had the Get started link loaded to ring when I got mine but still no luck... What would you suggest?

That's an interesting one.
You guys should still be able to use the unlock app regardless, this should only affect the 'NFC Ring Control App'.
Have you tried the Unlock App yet? You'll need to enter your kickstarter email and try it with your password but you may need to get a reset validation code and use that.

@Lokki mine was preordered and when I try to reset it, I get the message saying no email found

@Lokki as far as I know this link is for the unified NFC Ring login (forum) but not for the unlock app verificetion
but I could be wrong

I have the excact same problem as described here.

Nexus 5 (also tried Xperia Z2) - Stealth bomber ring. Get the same "ALERT Not NFC ring", and therefore can't register my ring.

Other than that, I really love my ring! :-)

(I was to late for Kickstarter, but preordered through the website)

I tried re-registering but I would just end up at nfcring.com/account and it was a blank screen with just the words "Name: LJ Goody."
