Samsung SHS-1321 *WORKS GREAT* < BUY THIS ONE!

@jasok2 That's an interesting theory. You might be right, I'll test that when I get a moment.

heh, I've broken plenty of NTAG stickers and mifare classic tags.
-
btw I think we just started listing door locks through the store: http://store.nfcring.com/products/samsung-nfc-door-lock
I'm not sure it's been announced yet though!
-
That's awesome, @johnyma22 !

I got the email announcement a few days ago :)

Update: ordered a new batch of fobs and they register fine, but the old batch and the ring still won't register. Possible I ruined the whole batch? Not sure how!

WOW, so what your saying is one bad tag can somehow taint all the ones registered with it, according to the door lock, as if it somehow keeps a naughty tag register in its brain....
that's really bad programming :(
-
Can you maybe try going into register mode and trying the tags one at a time? Like register one, end programming mode, test, re-enter programming mode and register the next, test, etc?
You'd be able to weed out the rejects that way.
Try doing the same with the ring as well. -
@jasok2 let's not jump to conclusions here.. From my experience this isn't the case.

Just bought an "Eclipse" NFC ring and the Samsung SHS-1321, once I managed to get English installation instructions for the door lock it went in fine and the Eclipse works well with it.

Ref: Samsung SHS-1321 New
This lock purchased recently doesn't seem to read the NFC Ring at all. If you look at the Samsung tags (ISO 1444A -13.56mHz) included with the lock they are not clonalle with the Android apps as the phone refuse this type.. How do you register the NFC Ring with this lock?
I may be confused as to the method..
Any help greatly appreciated. -
@aus-gazza where did you purchase from? You might not have a genuine lock?
-
It was bought directly (as a gift/present) from a supplier who sells many genuine Samsung Locks of various models. It is in original Samsung packaging & has all correct warranty, datasheets etc etc. All I really needed to find out is whether you 'clone' one of the cards/tags to the NFC Ring or do you use some other method. ps the setup is a little confusing. It works fine with the genuine tag.
Is it possible Samsung may have changed their software or hardware recently in the newly 2016 manufactured products? I hope not though! -
Hey @aus-gazza to register a ring you just add it as you do any normal device. No special cloning etc!
