When will I get my rings?

Any plated ring will turn into a temporary replacement ring.
This means, i will get:
My normal ring (as ordered)
A replacement for my plated alpha ring and voucher to get my ordered later
A replacement for my bomber and a voucher to get my ordered laterBut my replacement for the bomber is also blue plated, so, i get a a normal titanium ring with white top inlay and black bottom inlay, right? Can I do anything for this to support John (e.g. send a mail to the support where i write that i will a titanium instead of a blue plated)?

- Alpha rings are in process and will be due to arrive soon, this will not included any plated rings. There are no plated rings being produced at present. No plated rings. At all. None.
So your order being a multiple order has the potential to include 1 (one) PVD Stealth Bomber because it is a multiple order and one ring may have passed through QA before the issues hit the fan. Since you haven't already got the order >in your hands it is likely going to contain at least one replacement ring.
No plated rings. None at all. If it's not titanium coloured, it's plated. No plated rings now.
The only way you will get a plated ring will be if it was passed through QA beforehand and is waiting on other rings in your collection to be complete. Your temporary replacement rings will be relatively random based on stock levels available to the despatch team. You can redeem a voucher later for a ring more to your liking. Later. John will make a blog post concerning this. Also, do not attempt to change your orders at this time. You can use your voucher later to order something different, but do not try to change the order at the moment. It will slow things down horrendously rather than speed them up.
So wait for the voucher. Later. -
Thank for the reply Zackis but I am still confused. You refer to "a collection" I take this to mean more than 1 ring pledged but I've only pledged for 1 ring. I'm aware of the carbon fibre problem and I understood it would be replaced with a normal black inlay which I described in my previous post i.e. Titanium, normal colour, normal width, Black/white layers in USA ring size 7
-
@Duddy 'The Collection' is a collection of three rings, plus some other stuff. It was a pledge level on kickstarter. Ti/black CF/black or Ti/white CF/white triggered an email for a choice from the ringbearer. Other colours ie Ti/Black CF/White would simply have the CF changed to it's base colour, white or black.
If you have not yet received your ring then you will soon, it may be a matter of stock needing replenishing. -
Thanks Zackis

Sorry for my interference, but am I the 1% that will get the rings last?
For your convenient I will write here my order that was confirmed om the March 8:
1 normal titanium with black inlays size 10
1 alpha black with white inlays size 10
1 normal black with black inlays size 10.I hoped to avoid any questions of that sort of, but seems that this kickstarter project taking its time (much more of any i have bucked).
any news on the other side?
no pressure. -
Hi @romansah9 it's not interference, you're ok.
I'd say at a glance your black rings along with the fact you're getting a collection place you in the 'difficult' basket with the rest of us who got the Collection.Size 10 is also one of the sizes that are currently out of stock for replacement rings so yes, you and I are 1% buddies at the minute.
You may have one of the black rings already in your Collection waiting for another but don't count on it too much, I'd say at a guess that it'll be shipped as soon as the guys have more size 10 rings in stock which have passed QA. -
@Lokki Thanks for the clarifications. This is certainly the type of thing I am asking for. You really have done Yeoman's work in trying to help people understand where there rings are in the process. For your info I cannot thank you enough.
@duddy Lokki answered your questions but thanks for the mention.
My guess is I will get nothing, because it is not a completed set ( and will not be for a hell of a long time) they simply will not ship until it is filled
I am starting to get a little more frustrated at the process tho.
I know there is nothing to be done, and I know the folks @ NFC ring are not to blame, so should I just wait for 6 months and see if I get my ring by next October?
Hell Ill pay for shipping, whatever it takes to get something in my hands. If ordering a different ring is needed I'll do that.Honestly if you were in my place do you have a better recommendation as to what I should do? Suck it up and wait for something that right now isn't even being made, is not acceptable. I don't want to be 'taken care of' because I'm being a 'squeaky wheel' some sort of notification as to our status really needs to be thought about and SENT.
E-mail while not 100% free ( it takes someone's time and energy) explaining that I am in a group that simply wont get anything ( due to circumstances beyond control) is warranted.

Sorry Lokki and thanks.
Combination of age and not being used to the layout of this forum -
Hi @Zackis,
I can completely understand your position, and you're not alone in it at all. I am lucky in that I've been able to play with the rings for some time now even though I haven't received my original order yet.
As to that, I'm happy enough to wait because I do know that the NFC Ring guys are still working towards getting everything completed, and will do the best they can in that respect!
To make things better for those of us who're affected by changed orders and suchlike they are going to be giving us the ability to request vouchers later on (and there's a really good chance that we'll be able to get our hands on the new carbon fiber look rings too.)
My honest recommendation at the moment is to hold back, wait patiently, and know that good things are coming. These last orders may not be exactly what we asked for but there will be a real chance to have that come good in the end.
Changing order at the moment has the potential to become problematic especially so now that they're at the last orders, knock-on from opting to receive something could set someone else to waiting longer potentially and may not make yours come any more swiftly.
On the other side of things, it's not going to take until October, that much I can assure you of.I'll speak to @johnyma22 and see if there's anything I can do to help out with some kind of notification which doesn't take team members away from getting things done.

@Lokki TYVM you are fantastic for verbally talking me down "off the ledge" so to speak. Thanks for any and all efforts your doing..Keep on keeping on in Australia Mate!

Question on lead time for my order. The replacement ring I received was much too large (never let a novice friend give you your measurement) and looked into replacing it, possibly with an alpha since the performance would be much better. After talking to support, I was given the notion that I would receive a discounted pre-order much faster than an alpha replacement given the issues brought up at the factory. So I decided to pre-order another ring and just use the voucher for an alpha later. Closing in on 3 weeks later, the most recent updates implied that alphas would be shipping to backers soon, and I haven't received any dispatch emails for my pre-order. So does that mean I can expect my pre-order to be dispatched soon, since the alphas are being dispatched now (assuming they are now)?
-
Hi @MikeInSeattle, it's all gonna be pretty much relative at this point, but the short answer is it should be soon yes.
What will have happened with your query is that the focus would be on providing first the actual orders or as close to as possible, then the pre-orders, with any changed orders somewhere in between as possible.
We should be due an update soon, so we'll find out for sure where things are sitting then. -
@Lokki glad that an update of sorts might come sooner rather than later, as an experiment I did pre-order and we shall see if I get the pre-order before the backer order. In the end a ring in my hands is better than nothing. i'll let you know what happens when it comes.

It may not be quite quick enough to satisfy everyone for speed but it should contain pleasing news!

@Lokki
Information > No info
Personalized info > Info > No infoin either case something is better than nothing, thanks for the reassurance.
-
Yep, that's self-evident... Don't worry, even I'm making a pest out of myself on this.

@Lokki @NFCringTom and whoever this may concern
Well
Let's keep it short and sweet
KS backer.
Alpha Ring in Black Plated Metal with a Black top inlay cover and a Black bottom inlay cover in USA Ring Size 15.5
Yeah that PVD issue, I know...
emailed support and they said I 'll get a temporary replacement and a voucher down the road to order an additional ring
responded that I would like a v1ntage temporary ring
got the ok and a "please comment on the update"
that was 12 May 2014. KS campaign ended August 2013. We are a month away from August 2014. A year later and the only thing that the "limited group of people" that are in limbo has, is the ability to come here and force an answer from a "community helper". No support, no email "hey man I know you are pissed, but we are flying to china to open a can of woopass and make your ring ASAP". Generic updates that have a % of non fulfilled KS backers without a ring for x,y,z manufacturing issue is costing the nfcring team sales. Sales that non pleased KS backers are advising against, cause they are f... pissed about the one year waiting situation.

@d3ac0n I understand your frustration and have been saying things like this for the last two weeks or so. I do want to defend Lokki and the guys as without them I would be 100% clueless at the WTF is going on with my exact ring(s). Just so you know the PVD issue means no ring, at all, is being made..yet. Hopefully word of something will com much sooner than later
