Thanks again, @Lokki, it looks like it was some bug indeed. The friendly and responsive support team has solved the issue and I am now able to use the ring properly.

Hi @Lokki, yes I tried both sides, several times and on both devices (Samsung S4 Mini & Nexus 5). On all accounts the unfortunately reports the same error.

Hi @Lafunamor, I bought it online @ http://store.nfcring.com/ so it's an official ring.
I tried using the "NFC Ring Unlock" app which requests a email/password combination and then prompts me to use the "Control App" to complete account registration.
When trying to register the account with said control app, I get the error message.

With a genuine NFC ring, getting: "Uh Oh. This might not be a genuine NFC Ring, please try the other side of your Ring"
I just received my NFC ring. Should be 100% genuine. However when trying to register the ring on a Samsung S4 mini or a Nexus 5 I get the following message: "Uh Oh. This might not be a genuine NFC Ring, please try the other side of your Ring".
Anyone have a thought on what's going wrong?
