RE: Glue issue or something else?
Thanks @NFCringTom, I have left it several days and tried again this morning and that side is now completely unreadable whatever I do. Should I follow the instructions at nfcring.com/returns ? Thanks

Glue issue or something else?
I've had my alpha for just over a month now, set it all up and it was working beautifully, then I've had NFC Ring Unlock disabled for the last two weeks while i was working on customers sites as I was not keen on wearing the ring all the time due to dealing with racks, servers, crawling under desks for telephone points and just generally not knowing what i might come into contact in warehouse/workshop areas.
Roll on today and with the new release of the app I have enabled it to play with tasker intergration and discovered the clear inset not been read at all and it feels like it has something of a "bump" in it that is both visible and can be felt, it almost feels like it just has a layer of cling film over it and looks like the inset has started to shift. After a bit of massaging it is now working again.
Is this a glue issue?

RE: General Feedback NFC Ring with Galaxy Note 2
I have had the same problem with the lock screen been slow to appear on the Note2 (same provider, not unlocked), I have found it works best with no other lockscreen enabled but even then, after a period of time switched off it takes a considerable time to show the lockscreen.
I suspect this is more of an issue with Samsung's implementation and seems to be related to the phone coming out of deep sleep. With my nexus 5 work phone and nexus 7 tablet it is far more responsive even after turning them on from been off for a long while.
I also suspect the same thing is causing problems with reading the tag when just waking up from sleep, I currently use a round nfc tag (still waiting for my alpha and preorder) which has a pretty forgiving read radius, yet when I have just turned the note2 on there are occasions when it takes several attempts to get it to read.
