KeyDuino, Arduino NFC (PN532+ATMEGA 32U4) by MrStein
-
Awesome stuff, @MrStein!
-
In production, the v2 of nfcduino (now steinduino NFC) and "keyduino" in arduino nano size (I spend a lot of time on this one ^^').
Keyduino can log you on you pc with the nfc ring. Of course you can use it for a lot of other projects :D.
Hope they will work fine :) -
Oh wow look at that Nano one, that looks mad exciting!
-
Yeah, I love it. Definitely want one of those!
@MrStein even more awesome would be if you could make the usb end double sided. -
@Lokki That a good idea but the ground is also around the connector package (on the female connector) so you will have a risk of short circuit if you reverse it...
Thanks for the comments! -
@MrStein check out the connector these guys did, it's double sided and doesn't short (I've got one).

@Lokki I asked Pierre to send me a prototype board so I will look at it and create a video in English :)
-
Awesome, I'll be looking forward to hearing how it goes @johnyma22!
-
Wow the nano one is incredible.
How can I make/get one? -
I start a prototype today so I can't say when the final design will be done... (soon I hope ! )
I send you the board tomorrow @johnyma22 , there are some mistakes with the V1; pn532 became hot, baudrate fixed at 15200, uart configuration,... (you will see) ;)
@Lokki Oh you're right for the USB, it will be really cool if I can do that! :D
-
@MrStein, it would be absolutely awesome if it was able to be plugged in upside down. All they appear to have done is sunk the contacts down a whisker on both sides so that it doesn't short circuit on the shield. Seems like a pretty simple solution to the age old usb problem of never plugging in properly the first two times!
So will you be doing this one in association with your work, or looking at a kickstarter?
-
I am currently an apprentice so I would like to make a kickstarter with my work for that project (as final project study). :)
-
Well, that's awesome. Just let us know when you're ready and I'll throw my wallet at the computer screen.
-
First view of the boards:
Now I have to make a proper bom before started the implantation of the components :) -
I really do love that 'keyduino', @MrStein.
Very nice. -
Here is a vidya of the larger board in action :)

This post is deleted! -
Keyduino will be assembling soon, first test on december :)

Construction done, now I wait for them from china :) (the maker of the board say he had a problem for load the bootloader on the atmega 32u4, I expect it's not a big problem)
-
Awesome I'm excited to try it out!
