I just got it today and it only been 3 hours old.
Registered, setup unlock tried few times and got myself locked out of the phone, could be custom wallpaper which I removed after cold reboot and email sign on.
But, my classic ring, one side (white?) right of the box DOES NOT work, just the black side (public?) .
I am confused, classic, which side is private and which is public???

@vokmed AFAIK both sides are identical - there isn't one side that is intrinsically public and the other private. It all comes down to which side you register as being the 'unlock' side on your app, or which side you decide to stick private data on.

@vokmed, @shama is right, there's no longer any real difference between public and private sides, it's entirely up to you to choose which is which.
If you've got one side not reading and the other side is fine then please contact support@nfcring.com and let them know that you've got a faulty unit. They'll help you out with a solution there.

@vokmed did you contact support@nfcring.com and let them know there's a defect with your ring?

Yes I did. I decided to send back for warranty exchange, if one side has a problem the other might develop too.

Ah, no worries, thanks for letting us know @vokmed. Just for anyone else interested, what were the options you were given?

You can choose between buying a replacement ring for half the price or send your broken ring in and they send you a replacment

Any idea how long it takes to get replacement?

It'll depend on whether there was a replacement immediately available and how fast your postal service is. I believe the team should email you on dispatch again, then you can use how long it took for your first one as a guide.

@vokmed They'll send you an mail as soon as it goes out. For me it took about two weeks because it was a stealth bomber and they were in the progress of changing all the stealth bombers. If you replacement ring is in stock it should be faster than that.
