        Quick update: I pulled the trigger and purchased one from Amazon UK - It's at the heavier end of the electric lock price scale but I can confirm that it works perfectly with the Original NFC Ring & 2016 models.

        Hope this helps people looking for a decent mortice lock, very solid build quality - would recommend.
