NFC ring - not getting recognised
-
Hi
I am using Sony Z3 which is running 5.1.1. Before it went I'm for repair all was working as the NFC ring was a secondary security on top of the standard pin lock -
I have checked the lock app and it enabled and also added to trusted devices still no dual layer security

@javed-Rehman you don't need to register, just skip trying to do it in NFC Ring Control.
So the lock app is enabled but not showing up?
-
Yes that is correct it is enabled but does not show up. And when it appears sporadically it does not give option to put pin in and only asks to sign into Google account tried normal password and app specific under 2 step verification still no joy
-
Okay leave it with me I will try to replicate.
-
Any more ideas anyone that can assist me I have tried several trouble shooting steps like uninstalling apps and reinstalled them. Soft reset, gave the permission in smart lock 🔐 but still no joy I do not have dual layer security no more all apps up to date, phone software upto date. Worked like a charm before it went in for Repair wondering if there as been an update in between my phone being repaired and me installing apps again

I'm wondering if the latest app release has a bug. Looking into it ASAP :)
-
You say dual-layer, meaning that you are using both the NFC Unlock App AND Trusted Devices lock?
Have you tried just using one of them at a time, to see if there's a conflict going on when using both at the same time?
-
I have tried using them individually, The android lock feature works fine. When I have turned it off and tried using the NFC ring only it does not do anything I have been through all the settings but still will not work. It was worth a try

Found the bug, got a fix landing ASAP
