KeyDuino, Arduino NFC (PN532+ATMEGA 32U4) by MrStein

Okay I will do next time :)
I will send you the list of the propositions to see together the best projects after the 1st september :) -
@MrStein your board as made should be compatible with a zigbee or Bluetooth arduino shield, right? My door lock project would need a wireless system to make it installable without any nd manipulation of the current door hardware. So almost anyone can implement it. My project goes beyond that in capability, but I'll save that for later..
-
@LoganFive , yes the board is compatible with any shield (just the RX, TX pin are switched but you still can use them by a software.serial).
I just have one shield, a E-INK display which isn't compatible due to the ICSP pin configuration (normaly the ICSP pins are connected to the 13, 12 , 11 , rst pin but in this case it wasn't).Here is the diagram of the KeyDuino normal.

@MrStein Thanks, it's good to know. I'll have to take a closer look at the seeeduino tft touch screen I was contemplating using. Your board does get me excited about the possibilities.
-
I'm not sure if it has been mentioned, or if it is a given @MrStein, but I take it that your board will also program tags? Was trying to think if it would be possible to program a system in which tags other than the ring could be reprogrammed each time it's used. Kind of like rolling rfid tags.
-
yes you can program/reprogram tags or ring (with NDEF or not) so you can imagine a lot of read/write applications.
-
@MrStein Sorry if I'm asking a lot of questions. But one of my projects would be made easier using an android phone for the installation. Hence I was wondering if the keyduino could be used on an otg cable to provide reading for the phone. It would be far simpler than using a board like the IOIO-OTG. And, of course, wondering if either of your boards were ready to get ahold of yet? Thanks again for such great hardware fodder for my hacking imagination.
-
@LoganFive No problem for question :)
You can use the board directly with a OTG cable yes. For exemple, I run LIBNFC on a KALI with my galaxy s4 (emulated) and all is okay. The board will be in crowndfunding in november !
-
That's great to know. I want sure if a USB device had to identify itself as otg compliant. I will definitely be hoping on that bus when the project opens.
-
I'm hopefully making some more demos with the keyduino today =) Can't share them for 3 weeks or so
-
I've backed the 2016 project on kickstarter, but don't have an NFC capable Android device. How can I get involved in this project?
-
Hi, thank you for the support :)
The KeyDuino normal will be a KickStarter soon (in november normaly) -
@MrStein Glad to hear the project is running on time! This board has me waiting with anticipation like crazy!
-
Do you have a mailing list or something to be notified when the Kickstarter goes live?
-
We will be emailing out to the NFC Ring mailing list :)
-
The KeyDuino forum is now open, for now you just have some tutorial but if you have any question, project or whatever, join us and add a comment ! :)
-
D-1 ! :)
-
Beautiful! When do you go live Mr. Stein?
-
Tomorrow :)

Cool! Not a fan of the forum thought! But i guess that's more of an issue for me rather then you, free forum software you can grab on pages like that just isn't neat enough. Love the infinity table!
Will definitely be backing you!
