Bad ring

and it did not work with the new one? wow... both sides?
-
correct. and both side wont read.
-
hmm... this is unlikely but yeah if the nexus 7 (2013) won't read it's broken. did you try just keeping it at the sweet spot for a while (so it has time to read)?
-
Yea i tested it with the bear tag and it worked just fine. but with the ring it was a different story...
-
well the tags are much easier to read because the is no metal around it ^^
-
just remember it needs some time to read. If you gave it like up to 20 secs it not reading.
-
Yea I know that. but it did help me find the "read spot" and i kept the ring there to get it to work with no luck...

that's what it's for ;-)

Well seems really broken. you should recontact the support and get it replaced

I've got to disagree on that one, if the seperate tags work but have to be in a sweet spot then there are issues with the NFC in your devices. I would say to contact support@nfcring.com and query the possibility of a swap from Classic to Alpha (assuming you have a Classic ring to start with).
I would say that for whatever reason you are simply having NFC reading issues whether it's a method based issue or straight out poor NFC in your devices.
From the other thread "Inlays on their own, without metal, will be extremely easy for a phone to read. If you need to find a sweet spot for an inlay that is not in a ring then your phone has issues which will require your attention."
The rings will behave differently due to their construction, being made of metal.
