@johnyma22 Yet another, another month or so has gone by 🙁
Still no announcements or details of a shipping date for the Payment Ring.
I heard about something going to Court in America, but from what I've read it appears to be about stopping Kerv selling product in America based on stolen patent. This doesn't seem to explain the delay in the launch of the NFC Payment Ring.
So again, I'll ask you to please give a realistic date/period for the shipping of the NFC Payment Ring. Please, no "super-soon", "any moment", "strong and stable".
Just a simple, realistic, actual date/period. Pretty please.
@glyn yeah good point :/
Hi, would really like to pre-order a payment ring, has the link been removed?
Looks like it has :-(
It’s going to be a LONG time before any orders are shipped. NFC Ring is currently in a patent dispute with Kerv Wearables and now Esos is claiming to own the patent as well.
Case is currently delayed until November 30, 2017 court date and will be ongoing from there. Guessing will likely be well into 2018 before it is settled.
Updates on progress are here: https://docs.justia.com/cases/federal/district-courts/california/candce/5:2016cv07159/306152/67
Damn that’s annoying been a year since I preordered. Just wish they would do the right thing and have better communication with customers. Wouldn’t mind the delay if they actually told us why
Anyone heard anything
We're all waiting for dust to settle.. Again apologies for lack of updates...
Thanks John, sorry to hear that you've had issues.
We're all waiting patiently (some less patiently than others) for your big reveal.
After waiting months and months for a ring that we'd been promised updates "shortly...next few weeks" etc for, I decided to order the Kerv Ring.
I was really really looking forward to a NFC ring, but the fact that the pre-order link has been removed from the home page, and my account is no longer available despite the fact that my browser has the details saved, I gave up.
I'll let you know how the Kerv ring goes! I atleast know that it'll arrive in a fortnight now :D
I've had my Kerv since May and it works well, no complaints. I was holding out for the NFC version as I prefer the slightly slimmer design
@johnyma22 Just had this tweet from @John-McLear.
Thought I'd post it here for the community to see, although I suspect it will disappoint rather than placate.
It was an odd thing to say. Here it is verbatim.
"It's available to some folks, not sure what the situation is tbh. Development was completed years ago from our perspective!"
Share & Enjoy.
