Where do I get nfc ring unlock verification code to use this

If you don't already have a code use the NFC Ring Control App and click Click register
If you have previously had a code visit: https://me.nfcring.com/validationCodeReset

Have you tried validating the unlock app using your registration details?

@Lokki I'm not a kickstarter backer. My ring arrived this morning. I've tried to register, but I never get any email with a code. I've registered at this forum, and an account at https://me.nfcring.com/login
I've tried logging in with those account details where it looks for my verification code, but that would transmit my password in plain text, and doesnt mask my password either.
edit: tried logging in again with account details and it worked.

There are looking to be changes in the way validation works in the future. -
