Hi All

Here is what I found when hunting for "Sweet Spot" on the Nexus 7 2013.

!Both sizes of the ring works great with the Nexus 7 2013!

First the NFC Antenna layout:

The red layover is just about where the NFC antenna is, and it reads the rings great on the centre of each side.
IT does not read where the sides meet, but this is not a big problem as you do not have to move the ring much towards the centre of the side you are using before it reads it. :) (Hope that makes sense)
Else have a look at the pic below for guaranteed sweet spots :)

On the Nexus 7 older model it's no where near there, hehe..

Thanks for this though, very interesting just how much they moved it!

No Problem, going to do the same for my Samsung Galaxy SII (I9100P).

And yes the position is interesting, as it is layered over the "Wireless" charging coil. :)

Ah that makes sense, nowadays the wireless charging coil and NFC antenna is bundled into one :)
