@ShiranuiKira this may sound stupid but is your device connected to the internet?

if yes. please register with a different email address through the control app and try the verification again. It works fine for me. I just checked.
Maybe you should try a short verification code as this helps to prevent spelling/typing errors.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and then try the verification code again.

If it still occurs, can you show a screenshot of the error message?

I've tried registering it, It makes the tag read tone, but doesn't move from the scan ring screen.
So, I can't even create a new account even if I wanted to...

It reads when i tap the ring contents selection.
And it writes actions with no issue.
                    Just doesn't let me register...

@Lafunamor I've reinstalled it a few times this week already. Pretty sure it is the newest from Google Play.

@ShiranuiKira Okay, one last shot from me.

                          1. Re-install (or clear the app data in the device application manager) both the NFC Ring Control and NFC Unlock apps.

                          2. Try each of these to see if one of them works:

                          • Reset your password with something super simple like "asdf123", and make sure your device keyboard doesn't do anything funky like auto-correct on the fly or something like that.

                          • Go to the NFC Ring Control app and register with a new dummy email just for test purposes, and use that email/password combo in the NFC Ring Unlock app.

                          • Try the NFC Ring Unlock app on a different device.

Describe what you experience in step by step detail as necessary, so we can narrow down the cause of the issue.

Here is a step by step of the actions I'm taking.

                            1. Uninstall both apps
                            2. Re-install both apps
                            3. Open NFC Ring Control app
                            4. Tap register
                            5. Hold NFC Ring up to device
                            6. Hear NFC tag read sound

                            Nothing happens......

@ShiranuiKira Just out of curiosity, can you use the "Read" option on the NFC Ring Control app to read what's on the ring? You mentioned that it writes without a problem, so I'm guessing there's something on it right now. It shouldn't make a difference, but you never know.

Yes it's shows the contents of the tag if those contents are in a format that the app knows (e.g. email, text, ...)

@Lafunamor @ShiranuiKira I guess a more direct question I intended is did you try the Read function? I would like to see if it responds to that at all.

Have you also tried the apps on another phone and see if the ring will allow you to register like I suggested? Does it work on another device?

Also, does this happen on both sides of the ring?

                                    Click 'reset' button.
                                    Check your email.
                                    Click the password reset link.
                                    Enter new password.
                                    Click 'Change password' button.
                                    Open NFC RING UNLOCK APP
Use your email and the new password to verify.

If you don't need to verify the app then you don't need to register your ring and verify the app.

@Lokki I've done this quite a few times, validation code still does not work.
Can't register with new email either as it isn't picking up my ring while in the register menu.

@ShiranuiKira yeah, I think you mentioned that earlier. This is mind-boggling.

QUICK TEST: Can your device read the NFC inlay when the Ring Control app is not running (i.e. you hear the NFC chime AND it performs the action written on the tag).

I ask this because while the app is running, the app blocks the action that is written on the NFC tag, but allows the action when the app is not in the foreground. So this test may tell if the problem exists within just the app, or you device.
