Can Unlock app be modified to lock certain apps not entire phone?

I was curious if it was possible for the Unlock app to be modified to lock down certain apps on the phone and not necessarily the entire phone? I'm pleased with my Android's current lock screen but would like to have the ring as protection against certain other apps like perhaps certain photo albums or the entire app, email, etc.

No, this is not something that is worked upon, Android doesn't really have inbuilt support for locking certain apps, it's usually a feature of skinned versions of android from the manufacturer of the device.
