I believe it would help somehow hook into android oficial lock/unlock mechanism. Things like Face recognition unlock have all this solved. It is not just alarm app (which BTW anoy me as hell almost every morning), but there are apps like Sports Tracker or camera app which live above original lock/unlock app. All those apps doesn't work as expected with NFC ring.
