Waste of money
Overall I am severely disappointed with my ring. The idea is fantastic, but it simply doesn't work. The only way I can get it to even register on my note 3 is to remove the stock back cover and find the minuscule "sweetspot" on the back of the stock battery which makes it utterly useless. I have no problem with nfc working on the phone with other items so the fault certainly doesn't lie with the phone hardware. On the few rare occasions I was able to get the ring to work the app them simply failed by either not accepting it as a genuine NFC ring (Tried both the black and the white inlay without success) not to mention the poorly coded unlock app causing my phone to lock me out despite the fact it shouldn't be running anyway as the ring failed to register with it in the first place.
The conclusion: I am glad I only wasted £25 on it and will just have to write it off as a life lesson. I just need to figure out what to do with the ring now. Any ideas for an alternate use, maybe for small napkins?

what gmail account to unlock?
I am confused, after installing the nfc unlock app and the ring, as usual repeatedly failing to work it gives me the option to unlock the phone with a gmail account, however it refuses to acknowledge my standard googlemail.com login information and password so there is no way of getting in. Thankfully it seems to revert back to normal once I disconnect the battery and reboot but it comes back after a while with the same problems. I have unistalled the app for now as I can't risk my phone being permanently locked. What gmail account is it refering to?
As a side note, the app should really mask the password letters after they have been typed. -
RE: "invalid key, try again" error message
@Lokki by inlays, do you mean the two sheets with 4 little circular stickers? that is the only other thing that came in the package.

RE: "invalid key, try again" error message
Thanks for that. I might give it a try but to be honest I am rather disappointed by the whole thing. At the moment the whole thing is a poorly executed shambles. I am inclined to chuck the whole lot in my drawer of failed tech and give it a try in a few months to see if it has improved.. Currently it is nothing more than a useless metal band.
Great idea but it really needs to go back to the drawing board. -
"invalid key, try again" error message
I am getting an "invalid key, try again" message whenever I try to setup the NFC lockscreen. I had the "not an NFC ring" error to start with and was emailed the unlock password and login that ought to have rectified this. Any ideas how to proceed?
